The Oak Creek Public Library Board met on Thursday, August 13 , 202 6 . Those present were Pamela Aiken , Sharon Armstrong , Jill Meyer, Karen Umbs an d J ill L ininger . Greg Loreck and Stephanie Matthews w ere excused . Armstrong called the meeting to order at 5: 0 3 p . m . New Business • A motion was made by Aiken and seconded by Umbs to approve the minutes of Ju ly 9 , 2026. Motion carried. • A motion was made by Sagan and seconded by Meyer to approve the Ju ly 202 6 vendor summary in the amount of $ 85 , 236 . 89 . Motion carried. • A motion was made by Sagan and seconded by Aiken to approve the preliminary 2027 Library budget . Motion carried. Informational and Discussion Items • Director J ill Lininger provided updates on: o Budget and revenue : Paula is assessing the replacement of some of the worn out furniture . o Monthly staff report highlights: Rachel is on the team for the city website redesign which includes a complete re d esign of the library ’ s website. The old cash register cannot be replaced so a new POS cash process is being established using Square. One of the library’s TikTok videos has reached one million views. o Monthly calendar highlights : Jim Gill will be doing his concert as part of Family Night tomorrow. In September the library will feature the National Library Card Sign Up . A motion was made by Sagan and seconded by Meyer to adjourn at 5: 27 p.m. Motion carried.
