CALL TO ORDER Mayor Briesemeister called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. 2. ROLL CALL Alderpersons Present: Backes, Bukowski, Pieper, Bartoshevich, Euteneier, Maass, Olechowski Alderperson Excused: Clark 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 4. AGENDA DELETIONS None. 5. CITIZEN COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS Citizen comment period was opened at 7:02 p.m. and closed at 7:04 p.m. 6. CONSENT AGENDA – Council President The consent agenda should only include items that are considered routine. Items may be removed from the consent agenda at the request of any one Council member. Items not removed may be adopted by general consent without debate. Removed items may be taken up immediately after the consent agenda or placed later on the agenda to the discretion of the Common Council. A. Approval of minutes from the May 19, 2026 Common Council regular meeting. B. Acceptance of resignation letter by Distribution and Collections Technician John Meinholz, effective 6/11/2026. RESULT: Motion to approve MOVER: Bukowski SECONDER: Pieper VOTE RESULT: Passed 7-0 7. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Discussion/possible action on the following items: A. Legislation And Permits Committee – Ald. Pieper 1) Consideration of Resolution approving various alcohol license renewal applications for the 2026-2027 license period. RESULT: Motion to approve MOVER: Bukowski Common Council Meeting Minutes June 2, 2026 SECONDER: Pieper VOTE RESULT: Passed 7-0 2) Consideration of Resolution approving renewal Amusement Devices, Amusement Device Operators, Arcade and Junk Dealer license applications for the 2026-2027 license period. RESULT: Motion to approve MOVER: Bukowski SECONDER: Pieper VOTE RESULT: Passed 7-0 B. Public Works And Public Property Committee – Ald. Maass 1) Ordinance amending section §18.16 of the South Milwaukee Municipal Code related to private sanitary sewer lateral ownership and abandonment. RESULT: Motion to suspend the rules to allow for giving the first, second, and third readings on an ordinance amending section §18.16 of the South Milwaukee Municipal Code related to private sanitary sewer lateral ownership and abandonment. MOVER: Maass SECONDER: Euteneier VOTE RESULT: Passed 7-0 RESULT: Motion to adopt MOVER: Maass SECONDER: Euteneier VOTE RESULT: Passed 7-0 8. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Discussion/possible action on the following items: A. Economic Development 1) Consideration of authorization of appropriate City staff to submit a USDA planning grant to evaluate the feasibility of utilizing the former Grobschmidt Senior Center kitchen for urban agriculture purposes.
