Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN September 9 2025 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson , Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Betsy Lambert. Others present: Minutes of August Regular Meeting: Motion to approve: Supervisor Johnson, Second Chairman Frankiewicz, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: Bills paid and up to date. Received second half of taxes Communication: None Public Comments: None Old Business: None New Business: Meeting/training reimbursement rates: Meetings or training less than four hours will be reimbursed at $25 per meeting and will come out of the appropriate budget. For instance fire district comes out of the fire district. For meetings or training over four hours and less than 7 hours reimbursement will be at the rate of $50. Training will come out of the education budget. Full day meetings or training (7 hours or more) will be reimbursed at $100 a day. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage rate for self-employed or business (currently $0.70/mile Tree removal performed by board member will be reimbursed at the rate of $25 an hour (minimum 1 hour) and be placed under other road maintenance budget. Motion to approve rates made by Supervisor Johnson, Second by Chairman Frankiewicz. Motion passed. Highway Update and Expenditures: 4 new road signs are in and will be put up. Yellow Sands Road to be paved around the 15th of September. Payment of Bills: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve the payment of bills Second by Chairman Frankiewicz motion carried unanimously. Next Regular Board Meeting Date: October 14 2025 6pm Future Agenda Items: Spooner lake district preliminary budget. Discussion of whether to continue boat launch fees.
