Citizens to Be Heard
Following the Fourth of July Parade, Jamie Reeves with the Shorewood Foundation
contacted Assistant Village Manager, Nicole Berzin, to express positive feedback he had
received regarding the new parade route! He stated he heard from many residents who
were very pleased with the closer road to sidewalk ratio and the “Americana” feel of being
on your front lawn!
The Foundation has expressed interest in putting out a survey to collect feedback on the
route. This survey would be featured in the Village Manager Memo this week while the
parade is still top of mind. Melissa Marschka, Shorewood Foundation President, has asked
Jamie to attend the Village Board Meeting and speak during Citizens to be Heard about the
feedback and survey.
AVM Berzin had reached out the Janet Henning at the BID to share the feedback and is
waiting to hear back from her.
Board Decision Required for #9b Fee Schedule
• Staff has presented two options for the Saturday gate disposal fees for cars and
truck/vans. The Board should determine whether to adopt the lower fee option ($10

truck/vans). All other proposed fee amendments remain unchanged.
• Possible motion, “I move to approve Resolution #2026 with
($10 car/$15 truck/van) OR ($15 for cars/$20 for truck/vans).”
