Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN February 12, 2024 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Macone. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Supervisor Jon Johnson, Supervisor Miles Macone, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Leslie Arf. Absent Chairman Frankiewicz Others present: Aaron Arf, Steve Meister Minutes of January Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve January 2024 minutes, seconded by Supervisor Macone. Motion was carried unanimously. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Joan Avery gave financial report. Reconciliation of Savings account. Paying out Feb settlements tonight. Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve Treasurers report, seconded by Supervisor Macone. Motion passed. Correspondence: Letter re: upcoming Hwy K construction. Public Comment: Steve Meister brought up that he does ditch clearing and branch trimming for town roads. He charges by the hour and can start this time of year if we would be interested. Old Business NONE New Business: None Highway Update and Expenditures: Pot holes are holding well. Need to get shoulder of Spooner Lake Road done, possibly County or Madison Construction Payment of Bills: Motion by Johnson to approve the payment of bills Second by Macone motion carried unanimously. Future Agenda Items: Discuss Town Assessment Ditch Clearing, Steve Meister Discuss Open Book and Board of Review Next Regular Board Meeting Date: March 19 6pm Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn the meeting, motion seconded by Supervisor Macone; motion carried unanimously.
