Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN September, 2023 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Gary Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Jon Johnson, Supervisor Miles Macone, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Leslie Arf, Others present: Mabi Plisky, Jock Boissey, Rick Seckora, Mike Masterjohn, Dan Boissey Minutes of August Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve August 2023 minutes, seconded by Supevisor Macone. Motion was carried unanimously. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Joan Avery gave financial report, reported that the second half of the taxes have been deposited. Correspondence: Letter from Shell Lake Library requesting donations. Email from resident wanting an engine braking ordinance in the township Public Comment: NONE Old Business NONE New Business: CUP application Jock Boissey. Motion to approve made by Supervisor Johnson, Seconded by Supervisor Macone, motion passed. Letter of support for Lake District grant application. Chairman Frankiewicz will sign, helps them apply for grant Identification of revenue sources for budget prep make sure we have all sources accounted for to create next years budget Liquor License approval for The Burch Barn motion to pass made by Chairman Frankiewicz, Supervisor Johnson seconded, motion passed. Highway Update and Expenditures: Supervisor Macone reported that County is going to do sand and salt for this winter. Hopwood doing pothole work. Wash out on Oakwood Dr. possible concrete apron in the future. Payment of Bills: Motion by Frankiewicz to approve the payment of bills Second by Johnson motion carried unanimously. Future agenda Items: Presentation of boat launch fees. Budget for 2024 Electors Meeting Approve Agenda for Electors Meeting Next Regular Board Meeting Date: THURSDAY September 7, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn the meeting, motion seconded by Supervisor Macone; motion carried unanimously.
