Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN May 16, 2023 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Gary Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Miles Macone, Supervisor Jon Johnson, Treasurer Joan Avery, Absent Clerk Leslie Arf. Others present: Steve Madison, Ed Fischer, Akemi Fischer, Jacques Boissey, Rick Seckora, Chris Veness Minutes of June Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve April 2023 minutes, seconded by Supervisor Macone. Motion was carried unanimously. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Joan Avery gave financial report, accepted by Supervisor Johnson and seconded by Chairman Frankiewicz Correspondence: NONE Public Comment: Akemi Fischer requested that the Porta Potty at the park be moved to a more private location. Under advisement by the board Old Business NONE New Business: Grant for Boat Landing is in process. We are waiting for approved paper from DNR Open Book in person will be June 5 from 5-7 pm and Board of Review will the in person June 12 from 5:30to 7:30 pm. No appointment needed Bids for Road Work: Madison Construction Pulverizing $30,296.00 Monach Paving Pulverizing $35,829.00 Monarch Paving Paving $72,257 We accepted Madison for pulverizing and Monarch for paving. Highway Update and Expenditures: Supervisor Macone reported that there were plowing complaints at Buliks. Roads needing work: Mann Rd, Yellow Sands, Ojibwa, Spooner Lake, and Degennar Payment of Bills: Motion by Macone to approve the payment of bills Second by Johnson motion carried unanimously. Future agenda Items: Open bids for Dam area, Bridge Necessity of phone in Town Hall Next Regular Board Meeting Date: Tuesday, June 13 2023 at 6:00 p.m. Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Macone to adjourn the meeting, motion seconded by Supervisor Johnson; motion carried unanimously.
