Town of Spooner WASHBURN COUNTY – WISCONSIN September 6, 2022 6pm Spooner Town Hall N6124 Blooming Vale Road, Spooner MINUTES REGULAR BOARD MEETING Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman Gary Frankiewicz. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present: Chairman Gary Frankiewicz, Supervisor Miles Macone, Supervisor Jon Johnson, Treasurer Joan Avery, Clerk Leslie Arf. Others present: Mabi Plisky, Ed Fischer Minutes of June Regular Meeting: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to approve June 2022 minutes, seconded by Supervisor Macone. Motion was carried unanimously. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer Joan Avery reported that we received the second half of the tax payments. Chairman Frankiewicz made a motion to accept the Treasurers report, Macone seconded, motion carried. Correspondence: Public Comment: Old Business New Business: Spooner Lake Boat Landing project, Eddie Chaney is looking at the project and will make suggestions. Looking at a Spring timeline Lake District voted to change the draw down from 1 foot to 6 inches. Town must approved the change. This is for the 2023 drawdown, wouldn’t start until Fall of 2023. Motion to table item made by Supervisor Macone, Supervisor Johnson seconded. Motion carried. Highway Update and Expenditures: Supervisor Macone reported that he has a call into Hopwood to look at pot holes. Miles will mark more to be repaired before Winter. Payment of Bills: Motion by Macone to approve the payment of bills totaling $5777.69 Second by Johnson motion carried unanimously. Future agenda Items: Lake District will report on Boat Landing fees and usage Boat Landing Fees Preliminary Budget for 2023 Salt and Sanding for Winter Approve Electors Meeting Agenda Next Regular Board Meeting Date: Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Adjourn: Motion by Supervisor Johnson to adjourn the meeting, motion seconded by Supervisor Macone; motion carried unanimously.
