Previously, separate applications existed for various request types, including Conditional Use Permits, Design Review, Rezoning requests, Certified Survey Maps, and other Plan Commission-related matters. Under the updated process, applicants will submit one universal application providing general project and property information. Following submission, Village staff will review the request, determine the applicable review process, and provide the applicant with a completed “Required Applicant Submittals” checklist identifying the specific supplemental materials required for that particular request. Once all required materials have been submitted, the application will undergo staff review and may then be scheduled for Plan Commission consideration if determined complete. The updated process also incorporates key components of the existing staff report directly into the application review packet. Application type determination, staff comments, identified impacts, and recommendation sections are now included within the staff review portion of the application materials, eliminating the need for a separate standalone staff report. This updated process is intended to: • streamline the application process, • improve consistency between application types, • reduce incomplete submissions, • provide applicants with clearer direction regarding required materials and review procedures. Recommended Action: Approve the proposed Land Use Review Application process as presented, or provide recommendations or revisions prior to implementation.
