Page 1 of 2 The Wheatland Town Board met on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:00PM at the Wheatland Town Hall. The pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll call Chairmen: Jeff Butler Supervisor #1: Kyle Madsen (Excused) Supervisor #2: Kelly Wilson Also in attendance were Clerk, Katie Sweatman, Mary and Rob Petersen, Mark Homuth and Constable Santelli. Verification of public notice for agenda – all agendas were posted on Thursday and Friday July 10th and 11th on Facebook, at the Town Hall upstairs and downstairs and the subscription list. Approval of minutes of prior meeting(s) – no meeting minutes were given due to time constraints with training. Reports – Fire Department – Chief Denko is on his way to meeting for the weekend events. Das Fest and Country Thunder. Public Safety Report – Rear brakes were done on the police car; front brakes will be done next time. Timecard and call sheet were both turned in. Regarding Rukstales property, Constable has been in contact with the attorney however, no response has been received back. Constable to reach out by email for an update. Constable Santelli stated he cleared out 2 or 3 other reports that came in from the public. He also stated that Thawley property has now been cleared up with pictures and the file is closed. Public comments and questions. Mary Petersen asked about a grant that we were going for with EMS and Fire Department. Chairmen Butler responded with the grant information that is going through with Randall and Twin Lakes. ATV ordinance #27 was read in its entirety. Motion was made by Supervisor Wilson and Seconded by Chairmen Butler to approve how Ordinance 2025-27 is read. Motion passed. Roads – Chairmen Butler asked if we could get a dollar amount from the budget on what the roads budget is and how much we have spent to date. Clerk to pull numbers and give to Chairmen Butler. This will give us a good idea of what is left to spend on road repair. A clerk expense report was given to the board members. Town of Wheatland 34315 Geneva Rd. The board asked for more information to be gathered and added to the next agenda when Supervisor Madsen is available for input. Clerk also asked about possibilities of a website designer or IT personnel for help with redesigning the website and updating forms. Clerk to look into new avenues and report back. Permit fees are need ing to be reevaluated. More information is needed to be evaluated. The conversation is to be tabled until next meeting. Multiple forms we would like to go digital with submitting info and payment through our website. Consider finding a website person to help with this process. Direct deposit update was given; a test is being sent through on this payroll. No Correspondence or Financial Matters were noted. A motion was made by Chairmen Butler to adjourn and seconded by Supervisor Wilson. Motion Passed.
