TOWN OF BARABOO MINUTES of the Special Town Board Meeting October 6, 2026 Call Meeting to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chair, Bill Klemm at 6:10PM. Clerk Jennifer Roloff verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings laws. Reference Wis. Stat. § 19.84. Roll Call: Roll call of the town’s elected officials taken. Present were: Chair, Bill Klemm; Supervisors: Randy Puttkamer, Mike Terry, Bill Steinhorst, Steven Hess, & Treasurer, Mary Farrell-Stieve. Approve Agenda: Motion (Puttkamer/Steinhorst) to adopt meeting agenda. All in Favor. Motion carried. Citizens’ appearance: any person wishing to speak about a subject that is not on this agenda may make a short presentation to the town board. Please keep the presentation respectable and concise. Resolution 2026-19 Making Treasurer Position Appointed, rather than Elected: Motion (Hess/Steinhorst) to approve Resolution 2026-19 making treasurer position appointed rather than elected, voted and passed (yes 11, no 0) at special electors meeting. All in Favor. Motion Carried. Resolution 2026 -20 Combining Appointed Clerk and Appointed Treasurer into Appointed Clerk/Treasurer Position: Motion (Hess/Steinhorst) to approve Resolution 2026-20 Combining appointed clerk and appointed treasurer into appointed clerk/treasurer position, voted and passed (yes 11, no 0) at special electors meeting. All in Favor. Motion Carried. Budget Preparation for 2027, for tax year 2026: Discuss budget items Adjourn: Motion (Steinhorst/Terry) to adjourn meeting at 7:56 PM. All in Favor. Motion carried.
