TOWN OF BARABOO MINUTES of the Special Electors Meeting October 6, 2026 Call Meeting to Order: Meeting was called to order by Chair, Bill Klemm at 6:00PM. Clerk Jennifer Roloff verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings laws. Reference Wis. Stat. § 19.84. Roll Call: Roll call of the town electors present: Diane Puttkamer, Randy Puttkamer, Mary Farrell-Stieve, John Rick, Bill Steinhorst, Mike Terry, Steve Hess, Greg Froehlich, Paul Hashieder, Crystal Hashieder, Jeff Thielen Consider and vote, due to vacancy, to make the position of town treasurer a position that is appointed by the town board rather than elected going forward : Motion (Thielen/Froehlich) to make town treasurer position appointed rather than elected. All in Favor. Motion carried. Vote: Yes – 11, No - 0 Consider and vote to make the positions of clerk and treasurer into one combined clerk/treasurer position going forward: Motion (Thielen/Hess) to make the appointed town treasurer and appointed town clerk a combine clerk/treasurer position. All in Favor. Motion carried Vote: Yes – 11, No - 0 Adjournment: Motion (Thielen/Steinhorst) to adjourn meeting at 6:07 PM. All in Favor. Motion carried.
