Regular Town Board Meeting — Minutes

TOWN OF BARABOO MINUTES of the Regular Town Board Meeting JULY 13, 2026 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair, Bill Klemm at 7:00PM. Clerk Jennifer Roloff verified compliance with Wisconsin’s open meetings laws. Reference Wis. Stat. § 19.84. 2. Roll call of the town’s elected official s taken. Present were: Chair, Bill Klemm ; Supervisors: Randy Puttkamer, Mike Terry, Bill Steinhorst, Steven Hess, & Treasurer, Mary Farrell-Stieve. 3. Pledge of Allegiance was cited. 4. Motion (Steinhorst/Terry) to adopt meeting agenda. All in Favor. Motion carried. 5. Motion (Steinhorst/Puttkamer) to approval of the minutes of the regular town board meeting held on June 8, 2026 & special meeting held on June 16, 2026. All in Favor. Motion carried. 6. Citizens’ appearance; any person wishing to speak about a subject that is not on this agenda may make a short presentation to the town board. Please keep the presentation respectable and concise. 7. Brad Boettcher with General Engineering in attendance with update on Pikes Peak Road. Motion (Puttkamer/Steinhorst) to have Brad work with Town Attorney to get documents done to have special meeting with residents of Pikes Peak Road. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 8. Motion (Hess/Terry) to approve Catherine & Pavel Meyer for Tourist Rooming House located at S5731 Devils Lake Parkway, Baraboo, WI. All in Favor. Motion carried. 9. Motion (Puttkamer/Hess) for resolution for ambulance/fire increase for 2027. All Nye. Motion Not Carried. Motion (Terry/Steinhorst) to speak to attorney regarding Devils Lake use of Fire/EMS services and have attend next meeting. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 10. Motion (Puttkamer/Terry) to approve cooperative agreement between City of Baraboo, Sauk County, & Town of Baraboo for the Great Sauk State Trail – Baraboo Spur project. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 11. Motion (Puttkammer/Hess) to approve Municipal Online Tax Bill Payment Processing Integration not to exceed $350. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 12. Motion (Terry/Steinhorst) to join Income Continuation Insurance program through ETF, currently no cost to employee or employer through 2027, review every July and if rate freeze ends, discuss and reevaluate to end benefit. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 13. Discussed replacing office phone with cell phone. Will get more options and test services before next meeting. No Action. 14. Looked at new posting boards and discussed posting locations. Hess will get the Clerk some options that he found. Will bring back to next meeting. No Action. 15. Elected officials’ reports were given, as well as any communications and correspondence received on behalf of the Town of Baraboo. 16. Treasurer’s Financial Report for June 2026. Motion (Hess/Terry) to approve June 2026 Bank Statement/Reconciliation. All in Favor. Motion Carried. 17. Motion (Puttkamer/Steinhorst) to approve vouchers and checks. All in Favor.
