Village of Prairie du Sac Village Board Meeting Minutes of Regular Meeting February 8, 2022 1. CALL TO ORDER. The Prairie du Sac Village Board met for their regular meeting on February 8, 2022, at the Prairie du Sac Village Hall, 335 Galena Street, Prairie du Sac, WI. Village President, Cheryl Sherman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call. Board Members present: Nick Lester, Cheryl Sherman, Abby Dinger-Zach, Andrew Strathman, Craig Bender and Lauri Meixelsperger. Also present were Alan Wildman, Village Administrator, Niki Conway, Clerk/Treasurer, and Troy Murphy, Public Works Director. Witecha Excused. 3. Public Notice of Agenda, deletions/corrections – (Lester/Strathman) moved to approve agenda. Motion Carried. 4. Presentation of Minutes a. January 25, 2022 – (Dinger-Zach/Bender) moved to approve minutes. Motion Carried. 5. Pre-Registered Citizens – None. 6. Communications a. Treasurer’s Report-Recognized b. Sauk Prairie Ambulance Commission Minutes of December 2, 2021– Recognized 7. Action Items – a. Consider Ordinance No. 2, Series 2022, Recreating Chapter 4, Title 10 of Code of Ordinances – Building Code – Recommended by code to no longer require a building permit for roofing and siding. Discussion of park regulations. (Strathman/Dinger-Zach) moved to recommend to Village Board. Motion Carried. b. Consider Resolution No. 02-08-2022(a), Amending the Village of Prairie du Sac Personnel Manual – Employees to receive at 6 months 1 week vacation, 1 year 2 weeks, 4 years 3 weeks, 8 years 4 weeks, 12 years 5 weeks; and an additional personal day for all employees each year. Also to include a sign on bonus and longevity pay. (Strathman/Dinger-Zach) moved to approve amendments to personnel manual. Motion Carried. 5. Discussion Items: None. 9. Reports: a. Committees – Code – Recommendation of building permit requirements and discussion of park regulations. PW – Approval of resident to have colored concrete installed for sidewalk in front of his house during 8th Street construction like his driveway is, customer to pay the difference. Approval of 2022 projects to go out to bid. Approval of Town and Country Agreement to extend to a total of 7 years; 2-wheel totes will be included in this agreement. Sauk County Transportation Corporation – Advisory on transportation programs; shortages on labor and volunteers. Ambulance – Purchasing a new cot through fundraisers and general funding. Building and grounds keeper resigned. Administrative- Personnel manual discussion. b. Plan Commission – None. c. Engineer – None. d. Director of Public Works/Utilities Report – None. e. Administrators Report- Ribbon cutting took place for Jaybird. Rating shouldn’t drop with Moodys. f. Presidents Report – None. 10. Adjourn - (Strathman/Dinger-Zach) moved to adjourn at 7:36.
