Village of Prairie du Sac Village Board Meeting Minutes of Regular Meeting July 13, 2021 1. CALL TO ORDER. The Prairie du Sac Village Board met for their regular meeting on July 13, 2021 at the Prairie du Sac Village Hall, 335 Galena Street. Village President, Cheryl Sherman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call. Board Members: Abby Dinger-Zach, Nick Lester, Lauri Meixelsperger, Craig Bender, Jim Witecha, and. Cheryl Sherman. Also present were Alan Wildman, Village Administrator, Niki Conway, Clerk/Treasurer, and Troy Murphy, Public Works Director Strathman Excused. 3. Public Notice of Agenda, deletions/corrections - (Dinger-Zach/Meixelsperger) moved to approve agenda. Motion Carried. 4. Presentation of Minutes a. June 22, 2021 – (Lester/Dinger-Zach) moved to approve minutes. Motion Carried. Sherman Abstained. 5. Public Comment (limited to 3 minutes) – Calvin Boldebuck, Pocan Field Representative –American Rescue Plan funding and future project discussion. 6. Communications a. Treasurer’s Report-Recognized b. Shane Been & the Sauk Prairie High School Softball Program –Recognized. c. Sauk-Prairie Airport Inc. Minutes of May 19, 2021 – Recognized d. Marietta Reuter, Friends of Sauk Prairie Parks and Recreation – Recognized e. Honey Creek Snowmobile Club, Inc. Recognized 7. Action Items: a. Consider Purchase of Versalift Model VST – 47MHI, Body, Chassis and Accessories – Truck is out 16 months. Taking action today guarantees today's price. Current truck was purchased in 2012; intent is to replace every 10 years. Would put current truck out at surplus to sell; worth $80,000. The village may withdrawal at any time without being charged. Will put purchase in 2022 budget; about $182,000. Committed to pay chassis by signing letter of intent. (Lester/Witecha) moved to approve. Motion Carried. b. Consider Alcohol Beverage Retail License Application - Jaybird Café & Spirits, 550 Water Street – (Dinger-Zach/Bender) moved to approve application. Motion Carried c. Consider Appointment to Sauk Prairie Housing Committee – Andrew Strathman – (Sherman/Meixelsperger) moved to approve appointment. Motion Carried. 8. Discussion Items: a. Ordinance No. 3, Series 2021, Amending Title 7 of the Code of Ordinances Regarding Fermented Malt Beverages and Intoxicating Liquors - State law change Class B Liquor license establishment can sell mixed drinks to go as long as a tamper-evident seal is available on container. 9. Reports: a. Committees – Rec – Signups for teams are progressing. Approve comp/rec plan. Econ Development – Grant approval to fund chamber redeveloping their website. Park – Safety issues with fence discussion; will reconvene after summer. b. Plan Commission – None. c. Engineer – None. d. Director of Public Works/Utilities Report – 21st Street is ready for pavement. e. Administrators Report- Open Book yesterday – 2 property owners showed up. Received 1st half of ARP payment. f.
