MINUTES OF THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKE DELTON Upon giving proper notice pursuant to Section 19.84 Wis. Stats., and certifying compliance with the open meetings law, the Airport Commission of the Village of Lake Delton was called to order on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10:45am in the Kay C. Mackesey Administration Building at 50 Wisconsin Dells Pkwy. S. Present were Chair Tom Diehl and Commissioners Dusty Enge and Tim McCumber. Also in attendance were Village President John Webb and Alternate Les Bremer and Flight Based Operator (FBO) Bill Murphy. Also in attendance was Marcus Kuhn from Mead & Hunt. A motion to adopt the agenda was made by Bremer, seconded by McCumber. Motion carried. There were no citizen appearances. A motion was made by Diehl, seconded by Enge, to approve the July 24, 2023 minutes. Motion carried. Under the report of the Airport Manager, McCumber reported that he and Bill Murphy had been working with WisDot on the taxiway project. Mead & Hunt received the contract for design work. Kuhn discussed the next steps. Under the FBO’s report Murphy had nothing to add. The 2nd meeting was held regarding the Master Plan. Coffman & Associates did not report back attendance numbers for the public information meeting. The commission was shown one of the runway alternatives. The Commission discussed Hanger Leases. McCumber will research the Hanger Keeper’s Fee to address other entities renting hangers to help make the airport more competitive while keeping it affordable. A motion was made by Enge, seconded by Diehl, to approve the Airport Budget Reports & Balance Sheets and the proposed 2024 Budget. Motion carried. The next meeting date was not determined.
