REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKE DELTON May 8, 2023 Upon giving proper notice pursuant to Section 19.84 Wis. Stats., and certifying compliance with the open meetings law, a Regular Meeting of the Village of Lake Delton was called to order on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 4:00 P.M. in the Lake Delton Police Department located at 35 Miller Drive. Present were President John Webb, Trustees Leslie Bremer, Cary Brandt, Merije Ajvazi, Joe Eck, Thomas Diehl and Bernadette Skwor. Also in attendance were Richard Cross, Attorney, Troy Locken, Water Operator, Gary Hansen, Public Works Director, Jason Puttkamer, Assistant Public Works Director, Daniel Hardman, Police Chief, Assistant Police Chief Eric Thunberg, Dillon Gavinski, Deputy Public Safety Director, Jeremy Peach, Assistant Zoning Administrator, John Langhans, Village Engineer, Aaron Kirby, and other members of the public and media. Call to order and certify compliance with the open meeting law. A motion was made by Skwor, seconded by Eck to certify compliance with the open meetings law and to adopt the meeting agenda. Motion carried. There were no Citizen Appearances. Correspondence from Corrina Kaiser was presented to the board regarding speeding issues on E. Lake Avenue. A motion was made by Diehl, seconded by Brandt to close the Public Hearing and to approve a Special Exception Permit, applied for by Legacy Entertainment Group, 564 Wis Dells Pkwy S, requesting an exception to wall sign regulations under Section 40.07. Sign Regulations. No one appeared for the hearing. Motion Carried. A motion was made by Brandt, seconded by Skwor, to close the Public Hearing to consider the application for a Class “B” Fermented Malt Beverage License applied for by La Canasta Mexicana LLC, Sara Ortiz, Agent, La Canasta Mexicana, 250 W. Munroe Ave., for the period May 9, 2023 to June 30, 2023. No one appeared for the hearing. Motion Carried. A motion was made by Bremer, seconded by Eck, to approve a Class A-PM Permit for Destination Dells, LCC for Brown Family Condos located at 560 E Hiawatha Dr. Unit 103, as recommended by the Housing & Property Committee. Motion carried. A motion was made by Brandt, seconded by Bremer, to approve a Class A-PM Permit for Zenobia Tantra Living Trust, Zubin Tantra, for Zenobia Tantra Living Trust located at 530 E Hiawatha Dr. Unit 315, as recommended by the Housing & Property Committee. Motion carried A motion was made by Eck, seconded by Skwor, to ratify the action taken at the Regular Meeting of the Village Board held on April 10, 2023, Personnel Meeting, Finance Committee, Housing and Property Maintenance Committee and Plan Commission held on April 24, 2023 as delivered. Motion carried. A motion was made by Bremer, seconded by Eck, to approve Resolution 23-009 AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF INTEREST (O’Malley property / Dawn Manor). Motion carried. A motion was made by Bremer, seconded by Eck, to approve Resolution 23-010 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE VILLAGE OF LAKE DELTON. Motion carried. A motion was made by Eck, seconded by Bremer to approve a Sign permit application for 214 Progressive Dr. (Progressive Apartments) to include a 64 sq. ft. freestanding monument sign and a 33 sq. ft. wall sign. A motion was made by Brandt, seconded by Swor to approve a Sign permit application for 840 Wis Dells Pkwy S (Grand Marquis Hotel) for proposed reface and Electronic Message Center sign upgrade on the existing on-premises freestanding sign.
