SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN OF CALEDONIA PLANNING COMMISSION M I N U T E S June 16, 2026 Town of Caledonia, Waupaca County, Wisconsin Commissioners present: Helen Adams, Shari Fudge, Bob Prahl, Cary Zaug, and alternate Corey Besaw Excused: Mike Stoltz Chairperson Cary Zaug called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The agenda was approved as published 5-0. Cary reviewed the purpose of the special meeting: to discuss and draft a position statement in opposition to the proposed Waupaca County Zoning Ordinance in the areas of manure co-digesters, solar energy generating facilities, battery energy storage systems, and data centers. Working as a committee of the whole, commissioners discussed their concerns and wrote a draft statement that will be addressed by all commissioners at their July 7, 2026 regular meeting. Cary announced that Waupaca County Planning and Zoning Department will offer a training seminar on July 8 at 6 pm at the Waupaca County Highway Office. The training will focus on zoning functions, Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Zone Map Amendments, and Conditional Use Permits. Several commissioners plan to attend.
