Motion carried 2-0 with Supervisor Bosquez abstaining. ● Motion to pay expenses and payroll as presented. Motion carried subject to audit. ● Driveway permits - none Chairperson’s Report Chairperson Abba provided updates on: ● Parks: The Park Committee is working hard at Gruetzmacher. Engineering plan is complete and will be reviewed with the highway department this week. County Highway Department will return in Sept to complete work. MDR Lions & WisCorp will start maintenance garage in Sept. WisCorp will also be working on trails. The pavilion should be out for bid by the end of the month. Playground should be out to bid within 50 days after that. Mulch is being delivered to Readfield Park for the beds and the Town is hoping community groups help spread it. Jerel re-worked the trails due to weeds. ● Broadband: In a huge disappointment for our Town, the Trump Administration changed the requirements of the BEAD grant away from fiber and favoring satellite companies. The BEAD grant applications are being re-submitted and re-reviewed with the new requirements in place; however, the changes make it less likely that Caledonia will get the broadband expansion we’d hoped for. Results should be announced around the end of the year but it is likely that Starlink and Waupaca Online will be the options for the town. ● Hwy W construction is complete. The highway was completely rebuilt and the project was funded by the state because the road is the Town’s designated truck route. ● No plans are in place for replacing H or HH Clerk/Treasurer Report ● Clerk/Treasurer Snyder reported a cash balance of $641,367.93 at the end of June. Police, Fire, and Rescue Reports : Presented. Supervisor II Report: Knuth said roads look good. Supervisor I Report: ANR Pipeline underway, should be complete by end of July except reclamation will happen next year. County Supervisor Report - Updated on the Waupaca facilities project. Meeting adjourned at 6:52 pm. Respectfully, Natalie Snyder, Clerk/Treasurer Posted: July 24, 2025
