Kratky informed the board she learned from Chief Fisher, shortly before the meeting, the Police Chief who administers the state police grants said he needs to know ASAP if the village would like to participate in the OWI, seatbelt, and speed grants in 2021. Kratky requested Chief Fisher see if the item can wait until December for a board decision. If the item can’t wait until December Kratky informed Fisher the village participates every year so she anticipates participation in 2021 also. The item will be placed on the December Village Board agenda for action. Administrator Report: Kratky informed the board of the following items: 1) Purchases for both the Election and Routes to Recovery Grants have been completed and will be submitted tomorrow. Municipalities are now allowed to report more than their allotted amount for the Routes to Recovery Grant with no guarantee the additional items will be paid under the grant. Kratky reported she purchased a laptop, previously approved by the board, for village work at home if necessary, to submit as an additional item. 2) The new digital sign for the Community Center is in production. 3) COVID-19 numbers continue to rise in the area. Due to this, whether a face covering mandate is in effect or not, in an effort to keep citizens and employees safe, the Community Center will remain posted as face covering required to enter or remain in the building. 4) No official word on whether a recount of the 2020 General Election results will be required at this time or not.
