2021 General, Debt, Capital, Water, and Sewer Fund Budgets:
1) Use of $580 Prior Year Unused Levy: Kratky reported $580 of a possible levy increase
in 2020 was not used and could be used one time over the following five year period with Village
Board approval. Motion by Sersch, second by Bauer, to approve the use of the $580 prior year
unused levy portion for the 2021 budget. Roll Call: Morrison – yes, Bauer – yes, rose – yes, Sersch
– yes. M.C.
2) Sewer Rate Increase: Kratky stated the proposed 2021 sewer budget revenue was
calculated with a $1.00 per 1,000 gallon cost increase. This would increase a consumer’s cost
approximately $5 per month if their use is 15,000 gallons in a quarter. As proposed the increase
would allow the sewer department to complete phase one of the necessary lift station upgrade
without borrowing funds. Motion by Bauer, second by Morrison, to increase the sewer charge per
1,000 gallons to $6.50 from $5.50 per 1,000 gallons effective with usage beginning after the
December 2020 utility meter reading and a public hearing for comment. Roll Call: Morrison – yes,
Bauer – yes, Rose – yes, Sersch – yes. M.C.
