Discussion and possible action on Engine One damage (accident two) The Board discussed the options of the repair being completed by Zientara or Rosenbauer. The Board compared the two quotes. The Board also discussed the costs from the accident that the Village already covered. Those costs include replacemen t of the damaged culvert and end walls . The Village also lost t he opportunity to have Marathon County cover the paving over the culvert and in fro nt of the driveway. The reason the culvert had recently been excavated and replaced was that i t was part of the County Road K project. Before the County had a chance to pave over the new culvert the Fire Engine driver drove over it and damaged it. The Fire Department would like the repair to be completed by Rosenbauer even though the repair costs are higher than Zientara’s. Trustee Yelle made a motion to allow the Fire Department to have the accident damage to Engine 1 repaired at Rosenbauer for $2,275.00 with the cost to be charged to the Fire Department budget. Trustee Mullaley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
