state averaged a total of 74% of the vouchers being redeemed and Taylor County had a

Director’s Report:
• Senior Health Fair-Recap: The senior health fair went well. Many positive comments were
provided in the feedback surveys. Using the golf carts for transportation in the parking
lot was a huge success. The volunteers assisted all throughout the day and were very
pleasant with a smile on their face. Over 290 participants showed up for the health fair,
not including the vendors. It was a good turnout and members commented it may have
been the best one yet. Next year we will work on traffic flow for the flu shots and
registration.
• Adult Trick or Treating with ADRC-Recap: The Commission on Aging and the ADRC were
one of the stops for the Adult trick or treating held, Friday, October 27 th. Again, it was
well received with over 100 people of a variety of ages stopping by to see what we

at.

deliveries, helping at the various nutrition sites, obtaining the meals from BRI, home
assessments for individuals receiving our services, the vehicle will be used almost daily.
We would take care of the maintenance and insurance.
• Westboro Site Purchase: The Westboro nutrition site needs a dishwasher. Quotes were
received from K&B Refrigeration and Acker et Brothers. This will be installed in the next
couple of weeks. The nutrition program will be paying for the dishwasher as the nutrition
program is the only one who uses the dishwasher as well as their rental fees for the
program remain minimal.
• Gilman site: The Gilman Site is now fully staffed with the addition of Deanna, substitute
site manager. She is also interested in the custodian position and working on those
details.
• Emergency Incident: Viergutz updated the committee on an episode that happened in
the office . Due to the nature of the incident, the AED has been moved to the Multi-
Purpose Room making it accessible to both the dining site and the office personnel
without the use of keys as most doors are now locked when not in use. We also labeled
the keys in the front office better so they can be easily obtained in an emergency.
