COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES & RULES Tuesday, April 19, 2022 Third Floor County Board Room Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Jim Metz called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m. Members Present: Jim Metz, Chuck Zenner, Lester Lewis, Scott Mildbrand and Diane Albrecht. Members Absent: Lisa Carbaugh. Other Attendees: Catherine Lemke, Rollie Thu ms, Casey Belgram, Linda Daniels, Brian Wilson- Star News and Andria Farrand Approve the agenda : Motion b y Zenner, seconded by Lewis, to approve the agenda with 5 items. Motion carried. Approve the minutes of April 11, 2022 meeting: Motion by Mildbrand, seconded by Lewis to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Discuss and act on changes to standing committee appointments: The committee made the necessary changes to all committees. Farrand up dated the lists and distributed them to all County Board Supervisors. Adjourn: Motion by Albrecht seconded by Mildbrand, to adjourn the meeting at 12:50 p.m. The motion carried. Andria Farrand County Clerk COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES & RULES Monday, April 11, 2022 Third Floor County Board Room Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Jim Metz called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Members Present: Jim Metz, Chuck Zenner, Lester Lewis, Scott Mildbrand, Diane Albrecht and Lisa Carbaugh. Members Absent: None Other Attendees: Mike Bub, Lorie Floyd, Larry Brandl, Barry Anderson, Bill Vach, Pa ul Lukewich and Andria Farrand Approve the agenda : Motion by Zenner, seconded by Lewis, to approve the minutes . Motion carried. Approve the minutes of March 3, 2022 meeting: Motion by Mildbrand, seconded by Lewis to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Discuss and act on changes to standing committee appointments: The committee d iscussed potential changes to the c ommittees in preparation for the next meeting on April 19th. The re was discussion about increasing several committees from three members to fi ve members . There was discussion regarding the four new county super visors. Floyd asked if the committee looks at the qualifications of n ew supervisors. Farrand stated she would be sending the committee interest sheets to the committee that she collects from the four new supervisors. While suggestions were made, no action was taken. Andria Farrand County Clerk COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES & RULES Friday March 4, 2022 Third Floor County Board Room Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Jim Metz called the meeting to order at 10:40 a.m. Members Present: Jim Metz, Chuck Zenner, Lester Lewis, Scott Mildbrand, Diane Albrecht and Lisa Carbaugh. Members Absent: None Other Attendees : Rollie Thums, Mi ke Bub, Gene Knoll , Catherine Lemke, Brian Wils on-Star News and Andria Farrand Approve the agenda : Motion by Zenner, seconded by Lewis, to approve the minutes . Motion carried. Approve the minutes of April 20, 2021 meeting: Motion by Zenner, seconded by Mildbrand to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Discuss Committee on Committee and Rules committee and Discuss survey responses: The committee had an open discuss ion about the s tructure of committees and the results of the survey. Carbaugh left the meeting at 11:00 a.m. Some of the comments were: • Try limiting County Board meetings to 1.5 hours. • Have regularly scheduled County Board meetings, monthly, bi-monthly, etc. • Be prepared for meetings. • WCA training for supervisors on running meetings • Stay on track • Term limits can give fresh eyes • Have genuine interest in the committees you want to be on, survey sent ou t after the election. • Changes can be made to committees through Chapter 2 at the reorganizational meeting. Albrecht left the meeting at 11:30 a.m. There were no actions taken. Adjourn: Motion by Lewis, seconded by Mildbrand to adjourn the meeting at 12:00 p.m. The motion carried.
