Call to Order and Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM by Pres. Heckendorf Members Present: Pres. Heckendorf, Tr. Emmrich, Tr. Engelhardt, Tr. Kruepke, Tr. Kurtz, Tr. Olson, Dan Reik, Duane Hafemeister, Jon Molkentin, and Matt Van Eperen Members Excused: Tr. Wells Members Absent: None Staff Present: Interim Administrator Chief Ryan Vossekuil, Inspections and Zoning Director Collin Johnson, and Deputy Clerk Pam Wolf 2. Joint Scoping Session - Village Code Update a. Presentation - Zoning Code Update - Civi Tek Consulting and Graef, with possible discussion Craig Huebner from Graef and Tim Schwecke from Civi Tek Consulting provided an overview of the zoning code update project, including the proposed project timeline, the purpose and intention of the project, progress that has been made to date, and key considerations moving forward. b. Review of 2024 Zoning Code Audit and Discussion of Project Goals - Zoning Code Update, with possible Direction by Board Discussion followed regarding potential next steps, current gaps, future timelines and suggestions from both the Commission and the Board. Members discussed their visions for the future of the Village's zoning code, highlighting key elements, areas that may allow flexibility, and how the project supports their long-term objectives. Several participants underscored the need for particular aspects of the code, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining adaptability as the Village of Jackson grows and changes. No action was taken. 3. Adjourn The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Tr. Kruepke and seconded by Tr. Emmrich. Vote: 10 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:42 PM.
