April 22, 2026 CALL MEETING TO ORDER There being a quorum (9), Joe Stribel called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. Commissioners Present: Polly Oldenburg, Nancy Perkins, Lori Doyle, Wendy Testin, Marlyene Pfeiffer, Michael Mazzoni, Nancy Bertsch, Kathy Erickson, Joe Stribel, Marc Meyer Commissioners Sherry Ament and Joe Dallman were excused. Also in Attendance: Eric Snodgrass (Assistant Recreation Manager), Julie Cordero (Educational Foundation of NB), Mark O’Connor (NBFD), Bobby Reid (NB Lions), Katheryn Georgoulis (Pie Contest Lead), Bob Rafel (Prospect Lions) ROLL CALL; DECLARATION OF QUORUM; PUBLIC NOTICE APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION : To approve the minutes from March 25, 2026. VOTE : Motion by: Michael Mazzoni Seconded by: Marylene Pfeiffer MOTION PASSED: 9-0 Kathy Erickson arrived at 6:04pm, raising the quorum to 10 members. FINANCIAL REPORT ITEM : Monthly Activity and Financial Report MOTION: To approve the Financials as presented. VOTE : Motion by: Nancy Bertsch Seconded by: Kathy Erickson MOTION PASSED: 10-0 CELEBRATION 2026 ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on additional entertainment on grounds. MOTION: To approve Picture Perfect photo booth cost for $399, with a donation also received in the amount of $399 to cover the cost by Graham’s Family Dental. Net cost to the commission is $0. VOTE : Motion by: Nancy Perkins Seconded by: Kathy Erickson MOTION PASSED: 10-0 ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on additional food vendors on the grounds. MOTION: To approve Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream to be on the grounds. VOTE : Motion by: Joe Stribel Seconded by: Marc Meyer MOTION PASSED: 10-0 ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on parade entries. MOTION: To approve the following parade vendors: The Big Top Brass for $1500, Blue Saints Drum & Bugle Corps for $2000, Green Beret Marching Band for $1100, Hillbilly Clan 50 for $200, TJ Howell / Rocket Cycle for $700, Barbara Horder (convertible) for $25, Richard Miller (convertible) for $25, Jolly Giant Stilt Walkers for $700, Lake Country Dixie for $550, Milwaukee Flyers for $600, Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Concert Band for $1050, and Tripoli Shrine Legion of Honor for $300. VOTE : Motion by: Kathy Erickson Seconded by: Wendy Testin MOTION PASSED: 10-0 MOTION: To approve $200 to the Princess company for one princess for the parade and meet & greet. VOTE : Motion by: Kathy Erickson Seconded by: Marc Meyer MOTION PASSED 10-0 ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on NBW mocktail sales. No motions were presented ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on cost for 2026 banners. MOTION: To approve the cost of 2026 banners in the amount of $1200 VOTE : Motion by: Michael Mazzoni Seconded by: Marc MOTION PASSED: 10-0 ITEM: Discussion and possible vote on commissioner t-shirts. MOTION: To approve the cost of $20 per commissioner per t-shirt. VOTE : Motion by: Joe Stribel Seconded by: Kathy Erickson MOTION PASSED: 10-0 COMMUNICATIONS ITEM: Scheduled singers of patriotic songs prior to the July 2nd drone show and the July 4th fireworks. ITEM: Reminder Monday, May 4th and Monday, June 1st New Berlin Culvers fundraiser. Wear comfortable shoes and NB4 commissioner t-shirt. NEXT COMMISSION MEETING DATE ITEM: Next meeting date is Wednesday, May 27th at 6:00 pm in the Willow Room of the New Berlin ARC located at 15321 W National Avenue, New Berlin.
