1 | P a g e TOWN OF GENESEE REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES JUNE 8, 2026 6:00 P.M. Chairman Tesch called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Town Board Supervisors Morris, Braun, Yatzeck and Reece. Also Present were Administrator Herrmann, Public Works Superintendent Gryzkewicz and Clerk Treasurer Majeskie. Chairman Tesch read the Public Hearing notice. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be conducted by the Town of Genesee Town Board on Monday, June 8, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m., to consider the Special Use Request of Doug & Nina Fedak, S54 W31794 County Road ZZ, North Prairie, Wisconsin for a Special Use Permit to install a freestanding Photovoltaic Array Solar System per Section 19 (F) of the Town of Genesee Zoning Code. The property is described as Lot 2 of CSM #12332, being a part of the SE1/4 SW1/4 OF SW1/4 SEC 28 T6N R18E, Town of Genesee. More specifically, the property is located at S54 W31794 County Road ZZ and known as Tax Key No. GNT 1551.999.002 Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities through appropriate aids and services. Herrmann ask the Fedak’s to present the request. The project manager spoke for the Fedak’s. He is proposing to install a Photovoltaic Array Solar on the south side of the property. It is a stand-alone array,30 feet off the property line. They will not be removing any trees. The array is 32 feet wide. The array is in the middle of the hill. There are 14 modules. Chairman Tesch opened it up to the floor. Becky Fedak S54W31500 State Road 59, She is in favor and feels it’s a creative use of a part of the property that is a steep slope. It does comply to all the codes. She is a neighbor to the east. Chairman Tesch asked three times if anyone else would like to speak. Chairman Tesch closed the public hearing at 6:12 p.m. Pledge of allegiance The pledge was said. Public Comment At this time residents can address the Town Board on one or more topics for up to 3 minutes with time extensions at the Town Chairman’s discretion. In connection with non-agenda items, no action will be taken except for possible referrals to individuals. No comments will be received at this time for matters 2 | P a g e that will be or have been the subject of a public hearing. The proper time for such comments is during the public hearing. This agenda item is limited to a total of 30 minutes, and speakers are heard in the order they sign up, if time is available. No Comments Discussion/Action - consider the Special Use Request of Doug & Nina Fedak, S54 W31794 County Road ZZ, North Prairie 53153, Wisconsin for a Special Use Permit to install a freestanding Photovoltaic Array Solar System per Section 19 (F) of the Town of Genesee Zoning Code. Braun made a motion to approve the Special Use Permit to install a freestanding Photovoltaic Array Solar System subject to the Planners recommendations, with number 8-12 removed and the agreement of all professional fees being paid, seconded by Reece. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion/Action- Certified Survey Map to combine two parcels for Gregg Jabs. The property is described as being a part of the NW ¼ of Section 22 T6N R18E, Town of Genesee, Waukesha County. More specifically, the property is located at W305S4185 Brookhill Rd, Waukesha 53188 and the parcel directly to the northwest of that property. (1526-993 & 1526-997-001) Discussion. Morris made a motion to approve the Certified Survey Map, seconded by Yatzeck. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion/Action- Waiver for A-2 lot under 3 acres for Gregg Jabs. The property is described as being a part of the NW ¼ of Section 22 T6N R18E, Town of Genesee, Waukesha County. More specifically, the property is located at W305S4185 Brookhill Rd, Waukesha 53188 and the parcel directly to the northwest of that property. (1526-993 & 1526-997-001) Morris made a motion to approve the waiver, seconded by Braun. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion/Action – Wales-Genesee Lions Club request for a band and boom box music for the Car Show at Town Park on September 12, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Yatzeck made a motion to approve the music for the car show, seconded by Braun. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion/Action –Violation for Debra Denter W286S5045 Woods Road, Waukesha WI 53189 (Tax Key GNT 1538-996) The Board wants Ms. Denter to continue cleaning up the property and in approximately three weeks give the Town a call and Chairman Tesch and Administrator Herrmann will do a on site inspection and will make a list of anything that still needs to be completed before the July 13, 2026 meeting. Reports Clerk Treasurer – Meri Majeskie Discussion/Action – Bills to be presented Morris made a motion to approve the bills, seconded by Braun. The motion passed unanimously. Public Works – Jeff Gryzkewicz Public Works Report The Board reviewed the report. Discussion/Action- Ordinance 26-4 To repeal section 356-7 (D) License Quotas of chapter 356 of the Town of Genesee code of Ordinances regulating Alcohol license quotas in the Town of Genesee. 3 | P a g e This was postponed. Discussion/Action - Ordinance 26-5 to repeal and recreate chapter 427 of the Town of Genesee Code of Ordinances for Parks and Recreation in the Town of Genesee. This was postponed. Discussion/Action – Approval of Minutes: Regular Town Board minutes 5-11-2026 Yatzeck made a motion to approve the minutes after changing the word as to has, seconded by Braun. The motion passed unanimously. Discussion/Action – Fire Fee’s This was postponed. Chairman Tesch read the closed session notice. Yatzeck made a motion to go into closed session, seconded by Morris. Roll call vote: Supervisor Morris aye, Supervisor Reece aye, Chairman Tesch aye, Supervisor Yatzeck aye and Supervisor Braun aye. The motion passed and the Board went into closed session at 6:52 p.m. CLOSED SESSION: The Town Board will enter, by roll call vote, into a Closed Session pursuant to State Statute 19.85 (1) (c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, (Department of Public Works). Braun made a motion to go into open session, seconded by Yatzeck. Roll call vote: Supervisor Braun aye, Supervisor Yatzeck aye, Chairman Tesch aye, Supervisor Morris aye, Supervisor Reece aye. The motion passed unanimously. The Board went into open session at 7;40 p.m. Discussion/Action- following closed sessions, the Town Board will convene into open session and may take such action as it deems appropriate regarding the matter discussed in closed session No action taken. Correspondence None. Adjourn Braun made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Yatzeck. The motion passed unanimously.
