Jenny To: Molly Schneider, City of Delafield Clerk and City of Delafield Parks & Recreation Commission, Mark Schaefer From: James Reiher Date: April 19, 2026 Subject: City of Delafield Parks & Recreation Commission - 2026 Summer Concert Series at Liberty Park Rental Fee Waiver Request Dear Commissioners: The Delafield Arts Foundation Inc. (DAF) is an established 501 © (3) non-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers. We are planning entertainment events in Liberty Park this summer 2026 on Thursday evenings starting June 4 and ending on August 13. The specific dates are June 4, June 18, July 2, (Monday July 6) July 23, August 6, and August 13. There are no concerts on July 9 and 16 due to the Block Party. Additionally, we have a special performance by Kids from Wisconsin scheduled on Monday, July 6. All concerts are free to the public. There is no charge for admission. These events follow the DAF mission to promote the arts and entertainment in the Delafield Community. As part of the process, any funds generated by these events will be used to assist in the payment of the performers, the building and operation of the Stage at Liberty Park, and the sponsoring of art programs, including, but not limited to, musical, cultural, educational and art festivals, public theatre, and other similar outreach programs for the public and Delafield community to enjoy. The DAF volunteers covering these events are all unpaid. The event packet, park rental application, temporary sign application, the certificate of insurance covering the City of Delafield, and other related materials are being filed electronically. On behalf of the DAF Board of Directors, I respectfully request that the Parks & Recreation Commission waive the Liberty Park rental fee of $115 per event (7) and the stage rental fee of $300 per event (7) totaling $2,905. We believe it to be in the best interests of the city as a whole, its residents, the surrounding community, and is consistent with the volunteerism provided by us all. Thank you for your consideration to the request. Jim Reiher President Delafield Arts Foundation, Inc.
