MEMORANDUM David Schofield, Director of Public Works dschofield@menomonie-wi.gov 715-232-2221 Ext.1020 TO: Mayor Crowe & Ad Hoc Housing Committee FROM: David Schofield, Director of Public Works SUBJECT: Staff Comments DATE: October 15, 2026 Ad Hoc Housing Committee Meeting Agenda Item #2 Mayor Crowe will be unable to attend this meeting in person due to business travel but plans upon attending virtually. It is recommended that a Chairperson Pro Tem be selected from amongst those in physical attendance. If the Committee concurs, the appropriate motion would be Appoint __________ as the Chairperson Pro Tem (simple majority). If approved, the Chairperson Pro Tem will run the rest of the meeting. The Chairpersonship would revert to Mayor Crowe after the meeting. Agenda Item #4A City Staff recommend that the Ad Hoc Committee discuss and agree upon specific goals for the Ad Hoc Committee. Resolution 2026-26 directed the Ad Hoc Housing Committee with making recommendations regarding the use of the Affordable Housing Fund. Other potential goals might include recommendations regarding: • The future of the Home Sweet Menomonie program. • Housing only TIDs which were created by 2025 Wisconsin Act 235. If the Committee can come to agreement, the appropriate motion would be Set __________, __________, and __________ as goals of the Ad Hoc Housing Committee (simple majority). Agenda Item #4B If the Committee can come to agreement on the next meeting date and time, the appropriate motion would be Set __________ at __________pm as the next meeting date (simple majority).
