City of Menomonie Police and Fire Commission Meeting Minutes March 2, 2026 Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a.m. by acting President Robin Sweeny. Roll Call: Commissioners present were Robin Sweeny, Tom Miller, Dave Pellett and Martha Stratton. Also present was Chief Rick Hollister Commissioner President Sandford was Excused. Approval of Minutes from January 21, 2026 meeting. Motion by Dave Pellett and seconded by Robin Sweeny to approve minutes. Motion Carried. Public Comments related to Agenda: There were none. Old Business: None New Business: Chief Hollister updated the commissioners on staffing, as there are two in the academy and one getting background. Motion by Stratton and seconded by Pellet to convene in closed session under Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Motion carried. Motion made by Pellett and seconded by Miller to reconvene in open session under Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(2). Motion carried. Open Session: Motion made by Sweeny Second by Pellett to direct the Chief to offer conditional employment to John DuBois. Robvon Jackson was put on an eligibility list for future consideration.
