MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2024 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: May Checks # 17535 - 17541 June Checks # 17542 - 17571 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm, by Chairman Scott Darnell, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Scott Darnell, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Cheri Barnharst, Road Supervisor Leo Schultz and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present were 6 residents. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Hodal to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: Resident from 27th St wanted to know when 27th St will be sealcoated, for this is 3rd year of gravel, she was told 1.3 mile from Hwy 80 will be sealcoat on Wednesday. Resident spoke about Sauk County meeting on Refugees. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Schumer to approve the May 13, 2024 Regular Town Board Meeting & May 21, 2024 Special Town Board-Board of Review, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Hodal to approve the Treasurer’s May 31, 2024 report as presented, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. CHAIRMAN REPORT: I am reviewing the road rating thru Passer to understand the road issue, so not ready with info for referendum levy. ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: Crack Filling done, 6.25 miles covered. RR crossings are painted and complete, two plow trucks serviced and oil bath, order new truck sealcoating will be done this week, patching and mowing. CONSTABLE REPORT: 8 incidents; track down a suspect, direct traffic for fire, locate lost phone, tree down, & RR crossing check. APPROVAL OF LOAN FOR THE 2025 WESTERN STAR TRUCK: Motion by Ginny Hodal to approve getting a 2 year debt levy loan from The Bank of Mauston for a rate of 5.9% for the 2025 Western Star plow truck with a VIN # of 5KKABPFE1SPVV6367, for the amount of $256,100.00 seconded by George Schumer, the vote was Ginny Hodal, George Schumer & Scott Darnell all yes, carried aye-3. The signers of loan Chairman Scott Darnell, Treasurer Cheryl Barnharst, and Clerk Susan Kosinski. APPROVAL OF LIQUOR LICENSES FOR 2024-2025: BODI HOSPITALITY INC., D/B/A WOODBINE INN LOUIS LEAMONS LLC, D/B/A WILDERNESS INN BAR GRILL EASTWICK CORP, D/B/A THE REEL INN RV CAMPGROUND & LODGE RESORT ROADHOUSE PUB & GRUB LLC, D/B/A ROADHOUSE BIG FRANKS INC, D/B/A BIG FRANKS Motion by Hodal to approve the 5 above name businesses for Liquor & Beer licenses for 2024-2025, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF PICNIC LICENSE FOR QUEEN OF HOLY ROSARY SUMMERFEST ON AUGUST 24, 2024: Hodal & Darnell recluse themselves. Motion by Schumer to approve the picnic license for August 24, 2024 QHR Summerfest, seconded by Cheri Barnharst and carried aye-2. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH AT 6:30PM, JULY 8, 2024 RECONCILE THE DEPOSITS & CHECKS FOR 2024 JAN – MAY ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Schumer to adjourn at 7:10 pm, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3.
