MONDAY, MAY 13, 2024 AT 6:30 PM, TOWN HALL, OFFICIAL MINUTES, TOWN OF NECEDAH, WISCONSIN, TOWN BOARD MEETING FINANCIAL MATTERS REVIEW CHECKS FOR PAYMENT: CHECKS APPROVED FOR PAYMENT: Apr Checks # 17492 - 17499 May Checks # 17500 - 17534 CALL TO ORDER/ PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm, by Chairman Scott Darnell, after check payment review. ROLL CALL: Those present were: Chairman Scott Darnell, Supervisors George Schumer & Ginny Hodal, Clerk Susan Kosinski, Treasurer Cheri Barnharst, Road Supervisor Leo Schultz and Constable Jack Jasinski Sr. Also present were 8 residents and 1 non-resident (Brian Loyd Juneau County Land, Forest & Parks). ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA: Motion by Schumer to accept agenda as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. PUBLIC COMMENTS*: Resident disappointed about the cleanup and how it was full/closed so fast. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Motion by Hodal to approve the April 8, 2024 Regular Town Board Meeting, seconded by Schumer and carried aye-3. APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT: Motion by Schumer to approve the Treasurer’s April 30, 2024 report as presented, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3. CHAIRMAN REPORT: Huge effort made in removing beavers and ditching to move the water. Brian Loyd spoke of the grants to help clean up Jonnie Lee ‘s property after fire. . ROAD SUPERVISOR REPORT: Grading complete, gravel work on 27th St complete, ditching up north on 12th Ave, 12th St, & 11th St done. Crack filling will start in May, RR marking will be 1st week in June and are patching. CONSTABLE REPORT: 3 incidents; unwanted cats, retrieved tires, & helped disabled auto. FOLLOW UP ON REFERENDUM LEVY: Referendum levy by the residents for more roads to be repaired. Three option to get more roads done A $125,000.00 would do 4 miles, B $250,000.00 would do 8 miles of road & C $375,000.00 would do 12 miles of road. Need to look at road passer list about the shape of the roads. FOLLOW UP ON SPRING CLEAN UP: There was lots of stuff, we were full by 10:00am, with 7 dumpsters. We served 105 people and rejected 11. NEXT MONTH MEETING DATE, 2ND MONDAY OF MONTH, JUNE 10, 2024 AT 6:30 PM: OPEN BOOK WITH ASSESSOR PATRICK HART TUESDAY MAY 14, 2024 FROM 12:30 – 2:30 PM: BOARD OF REVIEW TUESDAY MAY 21, 2024 FROM 2:30 – 4:30 PM ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Schumer to adjourn at 7:20 pm, seconded by Hodal and carried aye-3.
