Town of Schley Plan Commis sion Meeting Minutes – September 21st, 2023 1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. 2. Commission members present: Craig Brown, Tony Dallman, Joe Polak, Lea Ratajczyk and Earl Welker. 3. Public meeting notice was verified by Joe. 4. M/S Tony/Joe to approve minutes from the August 17th Plan Commission Meeting. A roll call vote was conducted. All Ayes. Motion carried. 5. Reports/miscellaneous items discussed: *Members discussed the Supreme Court’s wetlands decision regarding soil disturbance. *Representatives from the town will be attending the Wisconsin Town’s Association Convention October 22nd-24th. 6. Public comment: none 7. A) M/S Joe/Lea to discuss and approve Lincoln County Forestry Land and Parks LUA L-23-210 for a 10’ X 14’ vault toilet at Hay Meadow Park. Standard conditions are required. A roll call vote was conducted. Tony abstained from voting. All Ayes. Motion carried. B) M/S Tony/Craig to discuss and approve Gerpoltz’s LUA L-23-252 for a 40’ X 60’ storage building. Standard conditions are required. A roll call vote was conducted. All Ayes. Motion carried. C) M/S Earl/Lea to discuss and approve Neumann’s LUA L-23-255 for a 28’ X 28’ addition. Standard conditions are required including contacting the town building inspector. A roll call vote was conducted. All Ayes. Motion carried. D) Earl shared a list of land use descriptions being reviewed at upcoming county Land Services meetings. Home Occupation will be discussed in November or December. E) Members discussed efforts to address local internet availability and speed by the Lincoln County Broadband Commission. They met September 14th and are encouraging residents to take a simple internet speed test at https://co.lincoln.wi.us. Another meeting will be held October 24th at 6:30 PM at the Lincoln County Service Center, Room 255/257/260. M/S Lea/Joe to recommend to the Town Board that a representative from the Town of Schley participate in the Broadband Commission. A roll call vote was conducted. All Ayes. Motion carried. 8.
