Special Town Board Minutes 6-17-2025

TOWN OF GENESE AMENDED SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MINUTES June 17, 2025 Chairman Tesch called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Tesch, Town Board Supervisors Ross, Morris and Braun. Also Present were Administrator Herrmann and Clerk Treasurer Majeskie. Discussion/Action- Wales/Genesee Lions Club request to allow alcohol to be carried out of the Lions Club to be consumed in the Depot for Depot daze from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 19, 2025. The Lions Club will be doing free kite flying at the Town Hall for Depot Daze. Ross made a motion to allow alcohol to be consumed in the depot from Vittles and Vine to the Crossing Community church for depot daze from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., seconded by Morris. The motion passed 4-0 Discussion/Action-Request from Brian Sprague S42W31668 Depot Rd to have a contractor access his back yard from Town Park to install a new septic. Discussion. Morris made a motion to allow access from Town Park to Brian Sprague’s backyard to replace a septic with a signed agreement in place to fix anything that is damaged and proof of insurance from the contractor, seconded by Ross. The motion passed 4-0. Discussion/Action – Procedure for appointing Town Board and Plan Commission Members. Also, we have another open seat for Lake County Fire and Rescue Commissioner. The board discussed this and came up with a plan. We will send out a questionnaire to each person interested on June 18, 2025. They will need to return it to us by June 25, 2025. The Board will then meet on July 10, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. to interview each candidate. The Board will appoint a candidate on July 14, 2025 at the regular Town Board meeting. Discussion/Action – Operator permits Ross made a motion to approve the operators Jenna Bathke for Wern Valley Sportsmen’s Club, seconded by Braun. The motion passed 4-0. Morris made a motion to approve the operators license for Jeff Scholz for Ellas Public House, seconded by Ross. The motion passed 4-0. Adjourn Morris made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Ross.
