It was stated the meeting would be recorded. Committee Members: Robert Miller, Al Gibeaut, Kathy Jo Locke, Karen Wampler, Gary Doudna & Karen Christensen. Others Present: Patrick Kilbey Gibeaut, 2nd by Locke, approve Agenda as mailed. Motion Carried. Wampler, 2nd by Locke, motion to approve the December 2020 Meeting Minutes. Motion Carried. Department Monthly Report was given by Pat Kilbey. Department will change over to stickers (from laminated cards) for Annual Boat Landing Permits. Kilbey reviewed snowmobile trail miles and state funding that is funneled to County Clubs to maintain snowmobile trails. Currently, 146 miles are funded at $300 per mile for maintenance and grooming. Kilbey walked through the County Land Information Website which now has a snowmobile trail application. Discussion followed. Kilbey presented an updated resolution proclaiming May 8 th, 2021 “World Migratory Bird Day” (formerly refereed to as International Migratory Bird Day). This resolution must be updated every year to stay eligible for Bird City (County) Designation. Gibeaut, 2nd by Doudna, motion to approve Resolution and send to County Board that proclaims May 8th, 2021 World Migratory Bird Day in Marquette County. Motion Carried. Kilbey updated the Committee on access road project to the Marquette Park on Mont’Leau River. Final total project costs are $16,842 which is close to dollar amount budgeted. Donations from Montello Chamber and the Marquette County Visitors Bureau were discussed. The Montello High School SECRETS statue/sculpture was reviewed. Kilbey is waiting on DNR determination on allowing it to be placed at the Krakow Fisheries Area before County will address the issue. Kilbey (in place of McGwin) gave update on the John Muir History Route App. There were 249 visitors and 652 page views on the Muir App last month. Gibeaut, 2nd by Christensen, motion to approve December 2020 & January 2021 Expenses, authorizing Gary Sorenson to sign on behalf of the committee. Motion Carried.
