It was stated the meeting would be recorded. Committee Members: Robert Miller, Al Gibeaut, Kathy Jo Locke, Karen Wampler, Kathleen McGwin, Gary Doudna & Karen Christensen. Others Present: Patrick Kilbey Gibeaut, 2nd by Locke, approve Agenda as mailed. Motion Carried. Locke, 2nd by Gibeaut, motion to approve the October Meeting Minutes. Motion Carried. Department Monthly Report was given by Pat Kilbey. Fall close-up has been completed on most Park properties and boat launch docks are all out. Kilbey stated the new access road for the Marquette Park on the Mont’Leau River has been started and is nearing completion. Chairman Miller described his recent visit to Lower Locks and how nice the area had become. Kilbey suggested the Committee plan a spring tour of the newer Parks Properties and committee agreed. Kilbey presented request from Lynn Bult for donation of a Memorial Bench honoring her recently deceased Husband (the Honorable Judge Ben Bult) and locate adjacent to Historic Kiosk at Hwy. C Boat Landing. Discussion was had on how donated benches were handled and accepted. McGwin, 2nd by Gibeaut, motion to approve accepting Memorial Bench in honor of Judge Ben Bult to be located at Hwy. C Landing and Authorize Patrick Kilbey to work out details of type of bench and final location. Motion Carried. Kilbey updated the Committee on Lower Locks Road Project adjusting the final project costs. Final total project costs are $40,657 (corrected from original $41,549) with DNR Committing $37,157 in total Aides. Wampler, 2nd by Gibeaut, motion to approve Marquette County accept total aids of $37,175 ($30,000 and $7,175) from the WDNR for the Lower Locks Access Road Rehabilitation with Marquette County committing $3,500. Motion Carried. McGwin gave update on the John Muir History Route App. There were 296 visitors on the Muir App last month. QR Codes onsite are being used more. Lower Locks Property is included in App now. Doudna, 2nd by Gibeaut, motion to approve October/November 2020 Expenses, authorizing Gary Sorenson to sign on behalf of the committee. Motion Carried. Discussion was had on next meeting (to be call of the Chair) and possible park tour in spring. Meeting adjourned by the Chairman at 12:50 p.m. *After the meeting Chairman Miller did call to confirm and read back all motions made by the committee during the meeting.
