NEW BUSINESS
OVERVIEW OF DATCP FEE/CODE CHANGES-JESSICA JUNGENBERG-REHA MANAGER
Jessica discussed that the State Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Protection has a two-step process in
raising their fees and this has not been done for fifteen years. Lodging facilities will experience another
fee increase in 2028. Then she explained the changes with the Tourist Rooming House, Motel and Hotel
Licenses. Tourist Rooming Houses now have nine license types, Motel and Hotels have three new
licenses, and one specialty lodging category. Rec Ed Camps used to be one license fee and now there are
six different licenses they can have depending on the complexity of the facilities.
REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF REHA FEE SCHEDULE
Jayme reviewed the current (2025-2026) fees alongside the proposed 2026-2027 fees and explained the
increased percentage that must be paid to the State for facility licensing. She also went over the few
new fees being introduced—Plan Review/Consultation (Beyond Pre‑Inspection), Water Lab Testing, and
Certified Food Protection Manager. She clarified that any spot marked “N/A” indicates that no fee
previously existed for that item.
Motion by Dave Benson, seconded by Mike Raddatz to approve the REHA Fee Schedule and send it to
County Board for addition to the County Fee Schedule.
LIBRARIES WITH HEART- JENNY STELZNER, PHN
Jenny shared that she applied for—and received—a grant from the American Heart Association to bring
Blood Pressure Monitoring to Marquette County. Ideas were presented of having blood pressure
monitoring in libraries or senior centers, libraries made the most ideal location due to having six in the
county and they are such good partners to work with. She distributed brochures created for the
‘Libraries with Heart Program’. Community members can use the monitors at the libraries or check them
out to take home for ongoing monitoring. Each location also includes a binder with information to help
answer questions about blood pressure and next steps for managing it.
FAMILY ADVENTURE DAY- MEL HODGES, PHT
Mel explained that Family Adventure Day is a free, family‑orientated event held at Montello High
School, featuring interactive activities and educational opportunities for children and their families.
