a. Register of Deeds: Ziebell Absent, monthly report posted on SharePoint for

b. Land Information Director: Stalker spoke about attending the WLIA
conference which was very informative and will help accomplish some new
tasks and future workflows in the office. Getting caught up on the transfers
as the new assessment rolls are already coming in for 2026. In beginning of
2026, a new GIS NG911 grant that she applied for and received
confirmation that she meets requirements with quarterly updates to the
GEOComm’s GIS Data Hub to receive funds. This grant will be used to
update servers and programs dealing with all things NG911. Our HUB site
has been having layer loading issues after ESRI did an update, Alex is
working with technicians to fix problems. Also working with SCO to upload
our new 2025 3” photos to the state website for ease of access to all
consumers.
c. Zoning Administrator: Potter reviewed year-to-date revenue and a new cell
tower application under review; updated committee on comprehensive
planning progress and outlined approach for community engagement during
the process; detailed enforcement items underway with corporation
counsel; notices sent out for failed septic systems and the upcoming annual
septic maintenance notices schedule.
d. Zoning Technician: Hughes spoke about the new central sands district
created by the WCCA that Marquette County is a part of. At the recent
district meeting, counties discussed permitting software used and the
software Marquette is using has good reports from other counties compared
to counties that have different software. A 2-day annual POWTS training
workshop put on by DSPS in March was informative and a good refresher,
attended by both Potter and Hughes. Phone log has been increasing rapidly
since December, and zoning office is now keeping tally of walk-ins. Sanitary
and zoning permits are starting to come in at larger numbers as the spring
building season gets underway.
