Minutes of the Marquette County Extension Education Committee Tuesday, February 11, 2025 – County Board Room, Montello Let the record show that Committee Members Present were: John Bennett and Dennis Fenner (in-person) and Ken Borzick (virtually). Also in attendance were Ron Barger, Administrator, and Jacob Hansen, IT Department. Staff Present: Christa VanTreeck, Laci Monroe, Hannah Zellmer, Natasha Paris, Anna Steuck, Pat Wagner. Call Meeting to Order- Meeting was called to order by Fenner at 10:12 a.m. Meeting is being recorded on WebEX. Approve Agenda- motion to approve the agenda by John Bennett with a second by Ken Borzick. Motion carried. Approve December Minutes- no discussion–motion to approve the minutes by Dennis Fenner and second by John Bennett. Motion carried to approve minutes as published. Citizens’ Input- none Educator Reports: FoodWIse Nutrition Coordinator–Laci Monroe – shared an update on programming and a written report was attached to the agenda. Human Development and Relationships Educator–Hannah Zellmer – shared an update on programming and a written report was attached to the agenda. AmeriCorps–Anna Steuck – shared an update on programming. Regional Crops Extension Educator–Natasha Paris – shared an update on programming and a written report was attached to the agenda. 4-H Youth Development Educator–Christa VanTreeck – shared an update on programming and a written report was attached to the agenda. Area Extension Director Update - Pat Wagner Wagner shared that the 136 contract and MOU were both executed and now on file with Marquette County. She asked that a listening session be scheduled (per the MOU) for the next committee meeting. Motion by Bennett and second by Borzick to place educator reports on file. Motion carried. Review vouchers completed. Report of Extension Education Committee Members a. Reports of official meetings held in the prior month i. Fair Committee - Per Bennett, the Fair Board met in January and are working out details – June 14 will be fairgrounds clean-up. Brakebush will have a drone show on Friday night of the fair for its 100th anniversary. Brakebush has reserved the fairgrounds the week before the fair so access will be limited. 2025 Fair Dates–June 24-29. ii. Upcoming Events/Issues (for discussion only) - none. Next Meeting Date - the next meeting will be May 13, 2025.
