1 RECYCLING COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS February 3 , 202 6 The Amery Recycling Committee met on February 3 rd , 202 6 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 9 :3 0 a m . Presen t: Mike Manor , Gloria Lansin , Fran Duncanson and Tina Riley Others Present: Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Lisa Gunderson Motion by Duncanson ; seconded by Lansin ; to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. New Business 1. Approval of Minutes from 1 2 /0 2 /2025 : The committee reviewed the minutes. Motion by Riley ; seconded by Lansin ; to accept the minutes from 1 2 /0 2 /2025 as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 2. Polk County Recycling Update : Tina Riley updated the committee : Public Works and Public Safety are scheduled to tour the facility on April 24 th along with being open to the public for tours that day. Bin locations will be listed on the website. New bailer is up and running for cardboard. Bids going out for glass recycling containers. Electronic Recycling Day is scheduled for Polk County on October 15 th , City of Amery on October 22 nd . 3. February Topic – Mattress, Tires and battery recycling: The cost for recycling and disposal of mattresses and batteries was discussed. 4. March Topic – Medication disposal – Location at Amery Hospital. The Committee w ould like electronic sign to run an informational spot. 5. April Topic – Earth Day/Month – Amery clean up day in scheduled for Saturday April 18 th from 10- 12. County will bring vest and bags with a slice of pizza and a bottle of water at end. Ask Alex about the volunteer program through Arts, Parks and Rec. for assistance. Motion to adjourn made by Duncanson ; seconded by Lansin at 10:12 a m Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
