He owns a 29.90-acre parcel in the Town of Lincoln that abuts his home in the City of Amery. He is looking to create additional parcels on the south side of his 29.90-acre parcel, but the lot line between his City lot and Township lot currently runs through his garage. The owner has filed a request for direct annexation for the highlighted area below. This would put the entire garage into the City of Amery and allow lots to move forward in the Town of Lincoln. This lot line issue must be resolved before the County will allow a CSM to be recorded for the lots being created in the Town of Lincoln. As part of direct annexation, the State of Wisconsin does require that the City pay 5 years of Taxes to the Town of Lincoln to cover the tax value that the City is gaining. This dollar amount will be figured out later once 2026 values and taxes are determined. Recommendation: I recommend that the City Council approve Ordinance 01-2026 to annex the highlighted property into the City of Amery.
