ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PROCEEDINGS The Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Amery met on May 5 , 202 5 at 5 :00 p .m. at the Amery City Center . T he meeting to order at 5:00 p .m. Present: Mike Klopotek, Tom Hartmann, Dylan Matter , and Jason Bottolfson. Staff present: City Clerk-Treasurer, Taylor Larson and Public Work s Director, Jeff Mahoney Others present: James and Jo Nell Leadholm Motion by Bottolfson; seconded by Matter to adopt the agenda. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried. 1. Public Hearing: Variance Request for J a mes and JoNell Leadholm 200 Griffin St W. Motion by Hartmann ; seconded by Klopotek ; to open the public hearing . Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried No members of the public were present except for James and JoNell L eadho lm . No members of the public contacted City Hall to share their feelings about the project. James and Jo Nell Leadholm would like to add a deck and pool in their re ar y ard . The pool will encroach on the 8ft set back on the North and West property boundary . T he pool would be approximately 2 ’7 ” off the North lot line with the City. The City isn ’t opposed to the encroachme nt and ther e is still room for the City to access the water and sewer l ines North of the property. The pool and deck would encroach on the W est property lin e 8ft setback by approximately 4ft. The neighbors to the west were notified and the City didn ’t receive any feedback from them. Motion by Har tmann ; seconded by Bottolfson to close the public hearing. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried 2. Decision on Variance request for James and JoNell Lea dholm for 200 Gr iffin St W – The committee discussed what they had heard in the public hearing. Motion by Hartmann ; seconded by Klopotek to approve the variance request at 200 Griffin St W . Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried Motion b y Hartmann and seconded by Klopotek to adjourn at 5: 0 9 p .m. Ayes- 4 Nays-0 Motion carried. Respectfully submitted.
