ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS PROCEEDINGS The Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Amery met on April 15 , 202 5 at 5 :00 p .m. at the Amery City Center . T he meeting to order at 5:00 p .m. Present: Mike Klopotek, Tom Hartmann, Fran Duncanson , and Jason Bottolfson. Staff present: City Clerk-Treasurer, Taylor Larson Others present: Sandra, Marvin and Wayne Sias 1. Public Hearing: Variance Request for Sandra and Marvin Sias 202 Hyland St Motion by Klopotek ; seconded by Duncanson ; to open the public hearing . Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried No members of the public were present with the exception of Sandra, Marvin and Wayne Sias . No members of the public contacted City Hall to share their fe elings about the project. San dra and Marvin Sias would like to ad d a 4 1/2ft by 12 ft addition on the NW corner of their house squaring off from the existing fr ont entrance . In addition, the S ias have a ramp that runs along the West and North sides of their house to a ccess the fro nt door. The addition will be 24 ft off the street instead of 25 ft off the street and the ramp will be 19 ft off the st reet instead of 25 ft off the street. The house ’s current front entrance and steps already encroach on the 2 5 ft setback so the new ad d ition s will not encroach an y closer than the existing home a lready does. Motion by Duncanson ; seconded by Bo ttolfson to close the public hearing. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried 2. Decision on Variance request for Sandra and Marvin Sias 202 Hyland St – The committee discussed what they had heard in the public hearing. Motion by Klopotek ; seconded by Bottolfson to approve the variance request at 202 Hyland St . Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion Carried Motion b y Klopotek and seconded by Dunca nson to adjourn at 5: 07 p .m. Ayes- 4 Nays-0 Motion carried. Respectfully submitted.
