1 MICRO LOAN COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS November 27 , 2024 The Amery Micro Loan Committee met on November 27 , 2024 , at the Amery City Center . The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a .m . Present: Members Sarah Flanum, Shari Overby, Paul Shafer, and Rich Smith . Others Present: Clerk-Treasurer, Taylor Larson and Laura Pedersen-BelleMarie Bakery & Café, LLC Motion by Flanum ; seconded by Shafer to adopt the agenda as presented. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 1. Discussion/Action – Micro Loan Application for BelleMarie Bakery & Café – Committee members met with Laura Pedersen of BelleMarie Bakery & Café LLC and discussed the business projections, business and personnel assets, business plan, and the financial and collateral position of the request. The business would be a bakery and café that would offer a variety of baked goods. It would offer both custom and standard items and would look to have both dine in and take out options. The loan would be secured by a lien on business assets and a personal guarantee. The committee felt the business was a good idea, but that a $30,000 loan through the Regional Business Fund was not feasible for the business to support at this time . Motion by Overby ; seconded by Smith to deny the loan request. Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. Motion by Flanum ; seconded by Shafer to adjourn at 9 :5 1a m Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
