COMMON COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES 3/11/2024 The Common Council of the City of Park Falls met in regular session at 5:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2024. Mayor Tara Tervort called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM and the following members were present: Mayor: Tara Tervort Aldermen: Dan Greenwood Dennis Wartgow Terry Wilson James Corbett Anthony Their Dixie Weidman Michael Mader Dina Bukachek City Attorney: Bryce Schoenborn City Administrator: Brentt Michalek Also present: Bill Hoffman, Deb Hyde, Marvin Nevelier, Larry Reas, Debra Perkins, Mark Koller, Gary Wollerman There was a motion by Alder Weidman and seconded by Alderman Wilson to adopt the agenda with changes switching Items 10 A and B, so that B is presented first. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS City Administrator read about the warrant for Mr. Lui and the case is proceeding. Mayor Tervort mentioned the High School Musical and tickets being available. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment. NEW BUSINESS There was no new business. COMMITTEE REPORTS Finance – Alder Weidman made a motion and seconded by Alder Bukachek to approve paying the bills in the amount of $229,158.06. Motion carried, 8-0. Motion by Alder Wortgow and seconded by Alder Greenwood to approve the Angelo Lupino contractor’s application for Pay #2 in the amount of $90,653.28, motion carried, 8- 0. Board of Public Works – Nothing to report. Public Services – Nothing to report. Personnel – Nothing to report. Administrator Update The Library Renovation is on schedule for end of May move in. We will have a city hall rummage sale at the end of April. On 3-13 we will be opening bids for Old Abe Memorial Park, and on 3-26 we will be opening bids for this summer’s street projects. April 2, 2024, will be the last election held at the old city hall. At 5:15 there was a motion by Alder Wartgow and seconded by Alder Thier to convene into closed session. Motion carried, 8-0. At 5:59 there was a motion by Alder Greenwood and seconded by Alder Wilson to reconvene into open session and take possible action on closed session items. Motion carried, 8-0.
