Behavioral Health Programs Report for May 23, 2026
Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic
Supervisor Carlson and Joe Bodo participate in a weekly Central Intake Meeting, held every Tuesday and coordinated by Director Ly-
ons, to review all referrals received by the agency. This meeting provides an opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing
staff to share information, determine the most appropriate level of care, and assign responsibility for outreach to the referred client or
family. Due to Joe Bodo’s retirement in 2024 and subsequent return to Sawyer County in 2026, he is required to undergo recredential-
ing as a Medicaid provider prior to billing for any services, including CCS and outpatient services. Until this process is complete, he is
unable to provide billable services. Deputy Director Carrie Mann has been very helpful in keeping this credentialing process moving
forward.
CCS Program (Comprehensive Community Services)
Service Director Carlson continues to address ongoing barriers related to reinstating the CCS Program in Sawyer County and has been
receiving continued guidance from Taylor County’s CCS Administrator. A joint meeting between Sawyer and Taylor Counties was held
on May 6, 2026, to review and collaborate on any updates to documentation, billing processes, and service delivery. SD Carlson will be
completing the 2025 CCS Annual Survey and submitting it to the State by 05.29.26.
Alison Carlson has successfully completed the 50 hours of required CCS training and is now rostered as Sawyer County’s CCS Service
Facilitator. Alison worked diligently to complete this comprehensive training program and demonstrated a strong commitment to
reestablishing CCS services within Sawyer County. We extend our sincere appreciation for her dedication, hard work, and willingness to
complete the required training in an expedited manner. Her efforts have been instrumental in moving the CCS program forward and
positioning the County to begin serving eligible clients once again.
Supervisor Carlson has maintained contact with four ongoing CCS referrals to provide updates regarding the program's readiness to
begin the functional screening process. Of the four referrals, one individual reported that they were not interested in participating in
CCS, stating that the program appeared too intensive for their current needs. A second referral is actively engaged in outpatient mental
health counseling with a clinician who is not CCS certified and has indicated a preference to remain with their current provider rather
than transition services. A third referral has been difficult to contact, as the phone number on file does not allow voicemail messages to
be left and the individual has not responded to outreach attempts.
The fourth referral is a prospective CCS participant who would receive services through contracted CCS provider Caitlan Myren. Service
Director Carlson is currently collaborating with Caitlan to determine whether the individual remains interested in pursuing CCS ser-
vices. If the referral wishes to proceed, Service Facilitator Alison Carlson will contact the prospective participant to schedule an intake
appointment and begin the required enrollment paperwork and functional screening process.
As CCS services continue to be reestablished, staff remain committed to outreach efforts, timely communication with referrals, and as-
sisting interested individuals through the eligibility determination and enrollment process.
Intoxicated Driver Program (IDP)
Assessor Bodo has successfully completed two OWI assessments this month without issue. Joe Bodo and Alison Carlson met in person
with staff from NorthLakes Community Clinic on 05.20.26 to review the policies and procedures required to ensure compliance with the
Intoxicated Driver Program. According to Bodo, the meeting was productive and provided clarification on several programmatic
changes, including updated expectations and reporting requirements. Questions regarding implementation were addressed, and staff
discussed how these changes will help streamline the process of identifying drivers who are compliant or non-compliant with their
Driver Safety Plans.
The next monthly DOT Zoom meeting is scheduled for 05.26.26 at 12:00 p.m. Staff will continue to participate in these meetings to
remain informed of statewide updates, policy changes, and best practices related to the administration of the Intoxicated Driver Pro-
gram. Assessor Bodo and Supervisor Carlson will be reviewing and updating current policies and procedures in preparation for the pro-
gram’s bi-annual recertification, expected to occur this fall.
CST Program (Coordinated Services Teams)
Currently, there are five clients enrolled in the program, with one discharge and one referral during this reporting period. Our next CST
quarterly meeting will be held virtually on June 10, 2026.
Respectfully,
Alicia D. Carlson M.S., LPC, NCC, ICS, CSAC, CCTP, IDP-AT

Feedback From Parents & Youth
❖ Made friends and is able to keep up with the work due to consistent attendance.
❖ More confidence reported
❖ More comfortable approaching teachers for help
❖ Understands concepts more due to regular school attendance
❖ Understands going to school each day helps mom with daily life, and being a role model for
his little brother
❖ Youth gained the confidence to advocate for himself, drawing attention to his mother’s
unstable mental health, and went to live with his grandmother.
❖ Youth now likes school, so is willing to wake up and get ready. His mother has developed a
good routine and has limited video games during the week. This has really been successful
❖ This youth has gained the skills to maintain a work schedule, while putting school first. With
this effort, the relationship has improved with Mom.

Foodshare Error & CAPER Update
The FFY2026 reports for Active FoodShare and Case & Procedural Error Rates (CAPER) covering
October–December 2025 are now available below. The statewide targets are under 6% for
Active Errors and 45% for CAPER. Northern continues to lead the way with a perfect 0% error
rate in both categories! The Active Foodshare Error Rate is based on benefits we issued that
were more than the household should have gotten (an over-issuance). The CAPER Error Rate is
based on benefits that should have been issues but where not (a delay in benefits).
