The grant is a 2 to 1 match; $2 of grant funds for every $1 in local match. In order for a project to be approved for CDBG funding, the project must be deemed a community wide benefit. Eligible CDBG-PF activities include: libraries, fire stations, street, storm sewer, water & sewer, accessibility modifications, blight elimination, housing and senior living projects. Identification of any Community Development Needs by Public When given the opportunity, those in attendance did not identify any other community development needs. Presentation of Activities Proposed for CDBG Application, including Potential Residential Displacement Mr. Stoffel stated that the two projects previously identified (the Smith Creek Culvert / Railroad Street project & the Second Street project) have no potential for displacement or relocation of low to moderate income residents. CDBG funds cannot be used to displace or relocate low to moderate income residents. The Smith Creek Culvert replacement could possibly qualify as a community wide benefit as an individual project; however, Mr. Stoffel would need an official determination from the Department of Administration regarding the culvert replacement.
