Gillis, Ald. Kennell, Ald. Miller, Ald. Swan, Ald. Voight and Ald. Williamson Council Absent: Ald. Johnson and Ald. Kreyer Others Present: Attorney Kelsey, Director McCue, Clerk Poppe and Frank Zufall Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 2020 City of Hayward Budget Budget Hearing – 2020 City of Hayward Budget A public hearing was held regarding the proposed 2020 City of Hayward Budget. The overall 2020 City of Hayward budget amount ($1,866,142) was increased $22,297 over the 2019 budget amount ($1,843,845). The proposed 2019 tax levy amount was listed as $1,299,400; an increase of $982 levied for taxes in 2018 ($1,298,418). In order to qualify for an expenditure restraint payment, the 2020 budgeted expenses (not including expenses for the repayment of new debt) could not increase more than 2.00% percent over the 2019 budgeted expenses. The proposed 2020 City of Hayward budget met both the levy limit and expenditure restraint requirements. Approval of the 2020 City of Hayward Budget A motion was made by Ald. Miller, seconded by Ald. Gillis to approve and adopt the 2020 City of Hayward Budget as proposed and presented. Roll Call Vote: Ald. Gillis – yes; Ald. Kennell – yes; Ald. Miller – yes; Ald. Swan – yes; Ald. Voight – yes; Ald. Williamson – yes. Motion carried. Ayes (6), Nays (0) 2019 City of Hayward Water & Sewer Utility Budget Budget Hearing – 2020 City of Hayward Water & Sewer Utility Budget A public hearing was held regarding the proposed 2020 City of Hayward Water & Sewer Utility Budget. Approval of the 2020 City of Hayward Water & Sewer Utility Budget A motion was made by Ald. Gillis, seconded by Ald. Voight to approve and adopt the 2020 City of Hayward Water & Sewer Utility Budget as proposed and presented. Roll Call Vote: Ald. Gillis – yes; Ald. Kennell – yes; Ald. Miller – yes; Ald. Swan – yes; Ald. Voight – yes; Ald. Williamson – yes. Motion carried. Ayes (6), Nays (0) Adjournment A motion was made by Ald. Miller, seconded by Ald. Williamson to adjourn.
