July 7, 2026 Common Council Minutes 1 City Of Lake Geneva Common Council Minutes Tuesday, July 7, 2026 - 12:00 PM Lake Geneva City Hall; Council Chambers Call to Order by Mayor Krause at 12:01 pm. Roll Call Present: Todd Krause, Sherri Ames, JaNelle Powers, Mary Jo Fesenmaier, Linda Frame, Joel Hoiland, Cathy Stoodley and Cynthia Yager. Absent: Brian Smith. Others present: City Administrator Dave De Angelis, City Clerk Lacey L. Reynolds, City Attorney Dan Draper, Finance Director Laura Pisarcik, Assistant City Administrator Chris Bennett and other interested persons. Update on City Operations following the Municipal Disaster Declaration Fire Chief John Peters, Police Chief Ed Gritzner, DPW Superintendent Neil Waswo, Utility Director Josh Gajewski all reported on their respective departments and events that occurred from July 3, 2026 through present day. City Administrator's Review and Update, clarification regarding roles and responsibilities City Administrator Dave De Angelis and Assistant City Administrator Chris Bennett reported on their respective roles, responsibilities and events that occurred from July 3, 2026 through present day. Mayor's Report, including update on City response and future expectations Mayor Krause thanked staff, residents and others for their joint efforts from the event that occurred on July 3, 2026. Krause stated the City will provide updates regularly. Resolution 26-R42: A resolution ratifying and continuing the Municipal Disaster Declaration Motion by Frame to approve, second by Yager. Discussion took place and Alder Hoiland made a motion to amend which was seconded by Alder Fesenmaier. Administrator De Angelis had questions and a concern about the wording of Alder Hoilands motion. Discussion continued. Roll call vote: Hoiland, yes; Fesenmaier, yes; Frame, no; Stoodley, no; Powers, no; Yager, no; Ames, no. Motion failed 2-5. Main motion vote - Roll call vote: Frame, yes; Yager, yes; Stoodley, yes; Hoiland, no; Fesenmaier, yes; Powers, yes; Ames, yes. Motion carried 6-1.
