Park & Tourism Committee Minutes Meeting of Tuesday September 8, 2025 Town of Delavan 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair Flitcroft at 5:01pm at Town Hall 2. Roll call – Ruben excused all other members present 3. A quorum was present 4. Approval of the agenda was made by Jim/Hugh 5. Approval of the minutes of the August 5, 2025 meeting was made by Leah/Donna 6. Comments were made by George Hubner regarding Oktoberfest 7. None 8. The group reviewed the quote from Foremost Electric to provide power to the kiosks at the boat launch. Leah/Hugh 9. Kevin updated the group that Liz, Bill, and Boxed and Burlap will manage the contract. 10. Chair Flitcroft and the group discussed if we need more labor at the launch than Rich and the collective belief is “no,” but we need to keep an eye on this next year. Tom told the group that Public Works will stripe the grass next year and will handle garbage removal during the week but not on the weekends. 11. Chair Flitcroft updated the group regarding the sign and will discuss with Ruben. 12. John updated the group that he is waiting for one more bid on this project. 13. Chair Flitcroft updated the group that there will be no fall volleyball league this year but we should consider it for next year. 14. Chair Flitcroft asked that John contact the city regarding the contract. Hugh will also follow up with Ben and/or Mary. 15. Steve updated the group that August revenue was up $3,293.75 over August 2024 with a total of $28,754. He also suggested that the group find a solution with the kiosks regarding overnight boat parking. 16. The group approved all monthly bills for payment. Leah/Hugh 17. Comments made by George Hubner regarding an additional boat launch that was discussed/approved in 2010. 18. Next meeting will be October 7, 2025 at 4:30pm at Town Hall. 19. The meeting was adjourned at 5:41pm by Jim/Donna.
